“Aquifer” is a musical and visual performance resulting from the collaboration between the artists Sandra-X and Bianca Turner, who already share other experiences in audiovisual creations. The repertoire brings together traditional songs of the Orixás mixed with original compositions by Sandra-X and partnerships with other musicians and poets.

In her visuals, Bianca investigates the spaces of transformation — converting a prosaic environment like a living room into a true portal for a live audiovisual experience. The idea is to create a sensitive territory, where sound and image interpenetrate, summoning other layers of perception.

In nature, a aquifer is a geological formation that stores groundwater and releases it into wells and springs. This soil, composed of porous and permeable rocks, is capable of retaining and supplying water. Its upper layers are discharge areas — the so-called exurgencies — places where watercourses originate.

The performance is inspired by this metaphor: the body and sound as aquifers of memory, energy and ancestry, which emerge to the surface as a source and fluidity, activating the space and the audience in a continuous cycle of presence and transformation.
