'left x right'

'left x right' It is a multimedia installation that seeks to bring the balance between justice and politics to the image.

The same amount of flour (2 kilos) is poured onto each side of the scale, and the action is documented. The balance between the left and right sides can be observed: whenever one side goes down, it is necessary to pour much more flour onto the other to try to reestablish the balance — but this fails, because with more flour, the other side becomes heavier. This image ‘explains’ the fury of extreme politics: after a long time with the left in power, it now seems that the ‘right’ needs to strengthen itself to ‘balance’ — but this only perpetuates the ‘dance’ in which one side is always seen as ‘better or worse’ than the other.”
