“Palingenesis” means resurrection, life after death, rebirth. It is an installation created from a specific object: the slide projector, without slides.

My starting point was to see this equipment as a manifestation – or materialization – of the cycle of life: the light remains on, constant, while the frames rotate in a continuous rotation – an infinite cycle. Each frame represents an incarnation.

As the frame changes, a video projection becomes visible on the wall: a heart beating life incessantly. The rhythm of the heart is in tune with the sound and mechanics of the projector as it changes frames; the rhythm of life in its eternal cycles.
